Mark is a founding member (2004) of the Grizzly Flats Fire Safe Council. His first term as Chair was from 2007-2017. He started his second term as Chair in 2019. Mark has also served on the Grants and Public Education Committees. He is also the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator; which involves coordinating the biennial Wildland Fire Table Top Exercise that brings over twenty different public service and governmental agencies together for a mock wildland fire that occurs in the Grizzly Flats area.

Grizzly Flats Fire Safe Council is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Grizzly Flats Fire Safe Council
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
feedback and can often resolve issues in a timely manner if they arise.
